Purpose:

Clamping the gear without radial or axial run out for noise inspection with a second gear .

Solution:

Mandrel with Disc pack containing RINGSPANN-Discs. The component is put onto the mandrel until it is bottoming at the taper of the mandrel body. By actuating the nut the disc pack is expanded and the component centralized and pulled against the mandrel taper.The mandrel will be used between centers.
